Eagle Prophet, also known as General Overseer of God’s Crown Chapel Reindolph Oduro Gyebi, has faced harsh criticism following the failure of his prophecy on what will happen under newly sworn President John Mahama.
The well-known man of God from Kumasi had said that a swearing-in ceremony would take place in 2025 and that Ghanaians would cast ballots in 2024.
He asserted, however, that the elected president will be sworn in on a separate day rather than January 7, 2025, as is traditional.
Prophet Gyebi boasted of his spiritual abilities, saying, “I have one of the sharpest eyes when it comes to seeing from a great distance.”
Prophet Gyebi’s 2017 forecast regarding an accident that killed 20 revellers and injured over 30 others came to pass, but his prognosis regarding Mahama’s swearing-in turned out to be wholly false.

As a result, several Ghanaians have been criticizing the prophet and demanding his arrest on the social networking site X, which was formerly Twitter.
