John Dramani Mahama, the recently inaugurated president of Ghana, enjoys the utmost confidence of Nigerian President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Tinubu expressed hope about the improvements and advancements his administration will bring to Ghana and praised Mahama’s leadership.
Speaking at Mahama’s inauguration event in Accra on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, Tinubu declared, “I have no doubt your administration will bring about positive change and progress.”
He also guaranteed Nigeria’s continuous support for Mahama’s government and encouraged the president to reach out anytime aid was needed.
In contrast, President Mahama stressed the necessity of a national reset to solve Ghana’s urgent problems in his inauguration address outlining his vision for the future of the nation.
In his assessment of the country’s current situation, Mahama acknowledged the pervasive economic difficulties and the difficulties of the last few years, but he also voiced hope for a better future.
He gave the country the assurance that although the economy had previously been struggling, these circumstances would not last and that his new government would bring about constructive change.
The results of democracy must be more observable and advantageous to people’s personal lives if it is to be hailed as the best form of government.
Any sincere examination of the health of our country would show that a large portion of its citizens do not believe they have benefited from or participated in this democratic dividend.
“We are a people that have experienced extreme economic hardship and calamity, and we have gone from crisis to crisis in recent years.
However, there is hope for the future. “I think a fresh opportunity should begin today.
An opportunity for us to change how we run our economy and how we govern. “We will reset our beloved country, Ghana,” he said.
