20-Year-Old Brutally Beaten to Death in Twifo Praso

A young man in his mid-20s, known as “Cemetery” and identified as Bright, has been brutally beaten to death by unknown assailants at Cocoa Ase, a suburb of Twifo Praso in the Central Region.

According to the Assembly Member for the area, Daniel Afriyie, he received a distress call around 0400 hours informing him of the incident. Afriyie promptly reported the matter to the police, who are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the young man’s death.

Some community members alleged that the victim was accused of stealing scrap materials, which led to the mob attack. However, eyewitnesses say that the victim was chased from the Praso Railway area to Bankyease, where he was stripped naked and subjected to a vicious beating.

The circumstances of the killing have raised concerns among some community members, who question whether any proof of theft was established before the lynching. They are calling on the police to conduct a thorough investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice.

The community is demanding answers and justice for the young man’s brutal killing. The police are urged to investigate the incident thoroughly and ensure that those responsible are held accountable for their actions.

The brutal lynching of Bright, aka “Cemetery,” highlights the need for justice and accountability in our communities. It is essential that the police conduct a thorough investigation and bring the perpetrators to justice to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
